Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use handloom.rjappstudio.in and place an order with Vastra Haveli. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them once; they are short and written in plain words.

1. Our products

Our sarees are handwoven. Small differences in weave, zari work and colour are natural and are not defects. Colours on your screen may look a little different from the real saree because of screen settings and lighting. Each piece is made in small numbers, so stock is limited.

2. Prices

All prices are in Indian rupees (Rs). The price shown with the product is the price you pay for the saree. A flat delivery and Cash on Delivery charge shows at checkout before you place the order. Offers, discounts and gift codes cannot be combined unless the page says so. We may change prices at any time, but the price shown when you place your order request is the one we use, unless there was a clear mistake (see section 6).

3. How an order works

  1. You place an order request on the website. You pay nothing now.
  2. Your order shows as Awaiting confirmation. You will get an email saying we received it.
  3. Our team calls the mobile number you gave to check your name, address and the saree you chose.
  4. Once you confirm on the call, we mark the order Confirmed and you get another email. Only then is the order accepted and placed.
  5. We deliver, and you pay in cash when the saree reaches you.

Please keep your phone switched on and nearby after ordering. If we cannot reach you after reasonable tries, we may cancel the request.

4. Delivery area and charges

We currently deliver only in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The checkout accepts only PIN codes in these areas. Delivery is usually arranged after confirmation; we will tell you the likely time on the call. Delays can happen because of weather, festivals or other reasons outside our control.

5. Payment

Payment is by Cash on Delivery only. Please keep the exact amount ready. If you refuse the parcel without a valid reason after we have confirmed and dispatched it, we may decline your future orders.

6. When we may cancel an order

We may cancel or refuse an order before delivery in these cases:

  • The saree is out of stock or no longer available, for example if it was sold at the same time through another channel.
  • The price, description or photo shown on the website was wrong because of a clear error.
  • We cannot reach you on the number given, or the details you give do not match.
  • The delivery address is outside our delivery area or cannot be found.
  • The order looks fake, abusive or repeated, or you have refused earlier orders.
  • Something outside our control stops us from delivering safely.

If we cancel, we will tell you by phone or email. Since you have not paid in advance, no refund is needed. If we suggest a similar saree instead, you are free to say no.

7. Cancelling or changing your order

You can ask to cancel or change an order before it is dispatched by writing to handloom@rjappstudio.in or telling us when we call. Once the saree is dispatched, please talk to us before you decide to refuse it.

8. Damaged or wrong item

Please open and check the parcel when it arrives. If the saree is damaged or is not the one you ordered, tell us within 48 hours by email with clear photos, and we will arrange a replacement or a solution with you. Sarees that have been worn, washed, altered or damaged after delivery cannot be returned. Natural handloom variations are not defects.

9. Thank-you gift code

After an order is marked Completed (delivered), we may email you a special gift code for a future purchase. The code works only for the email address it was sent to, can be used once, starts working after the waiting time shown in the email, and expires on the date shown in the email. It cannot be exchanged for cash, and we may stop or change this offer at any time. Codes obtained or used unfairly can be cancelled.

10. Use of the website

Please do not misuse the site: no spam, no attempts to break or overload it, no false orders, and no copying of our photos, text or logo without our written permission. All content on this site belongs to Vastra Haveli.

11. Limit of responsibility

We try to keep the website correct and available, but we cannot promise it will always be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the price of the item in that order.

How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
